Coordination Meeting





On December 17, 2024, a coordination meeting was held at the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University within the framework of the IRN 24993222 PCF program "Building a decision support system for the natural and economic structure of the North Kazakhstan region in the context of sustainable development."
The meeting of the Coordinating Council was attended by the heads of 12 scientific groups in the areas of the KazNAIU program, representatives of Lanzhou University – Deputy Director of the One Belt, One Road Research Center Ruijun Long, Deputy Director of the Department of International Relations Xuejian Wang, scientists of the College of Earth and Environmental Sciences – Dr. Haijiang Yang, Professor Jie Gong, Dr. Zhengbang Ma, Consul for Technology and Science of the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Almaty Zhang Wei, representatives of A. I. Baraev NPCKH LLP - S. S. Baisholanov, B. Zhumabek.
The moderator of the Council is Ermekov Farabi Kerimbaevich, Executive Director of the KazNAIU Scientific and Educational Technology Platform, responsible for the Program.
Akhylbek Kazhigulovich Kurishbayev, President of the National Academy of Sciences under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Chairman of the Board - Rector of KazNAIU, opened the Council and stressed in his speech that the relationship on the development of cooperation with Chinese scientific and educational organizations has been carried out for many years, and today's new project is a natural continuation of long-term cooperation between the two universities.
In turn, Zhang Wei, Consul of the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China for Technology and Science in Almaty, noted the positive dynamics of cooperation between China and Kazakhstan and expressed support for the initiatives being undertaken in the framework of joint search and implementation of effective mechanisms for the development of science and deepening educational ties between the two countries.
In his speech, Long Raizhin, Deputy Director of the One Belt, One Road Research Center at Lanzhou University, noted that the new joint project will allow scientists from the two countries to conduct joint scientific research and transfer digital technologies.
The Coordinating Council heard the report of the heads of the project groups "Building a decision support system for the natural and economic structure of the North Kazakhstan region in the context of sustainable development" for 2024. Also, with the participation of representatives of Lanzhou University, a list of activities for 2025 was discussed and a Calendar plan for the implementation of the next tasks within the framework of this project was approved.
